Description
Shadow Lake and Mount Ball illuminated in the mixed morning sunlight.
Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada.
This was taken on last week's 'Women in the Backcountry' workshop that I co-lead with Banff Photo Workshops & Tours, and Viktoria Haack Photography. It was an awesome time with 9 equally awesome women; 3 days packed with instruction, hiking, and awesome food at Shadow Lake Lodge. Then after I returned home from that adventure, it was time to sleep, back up photos, format cards and shoot a wedding. The past week has been a bit of a blur. Anyway, I hope you all have been enjoying your summer!
Oh, and by the way. Once my camera dried out from falling in that stream in Mount Robson Provincial Park, it's operating fine again. All I had to replace was my lens, filter system and shutter release cable. The 1dx is actually shooting sharper than it was (After I re-calibrated my lenses - they had to be adjusted hugely after the fall it had on the rock). So, other than some glacier dust permanently stuck inside my viewfinder, the camera survived
I must apologize for my recent absence; both hiking and wedding season are here, so I'm not spending much time on the computer unless necessary!
